Working in close partnership with industry stakeholders and trusted subcontractors, we ensure the seamless and compliant delivery of each project, regardless of location or complexity.

  • Corrugated Steel Tanks: Ideal for larger volumes, fully customisable and assembled on-site.

Foundation Solutions

Our tank foundation options are selected based on site conditions, ecological impact, access constraints, and future reinstatement requirements. Options include:

  • Level Surface Placement: Suitable for poly tanks and smaller installations.

  • Partially Buried Ring Base: Enables easy removal post-use with no permanent impact on the site.

  • Concrete or Tarmac Bases: Applicable where more permanent or load-bearing support is needed.

  • Prefabricated or Cast-In-Situ Ring Beams: Offer a balance between support and reversibility.

All options are designed to reduce the environmental footprint and allow for full reinstatement post-project.

Transport and Installation

  • Polyethylene Tanks
Delivered disinfected and ready for filling, these are typically offloaded and positioned using lorry-mounted cranes. Larger tanks require adequate site access for height and width.

  • Corrugated Steel Tanks
Delivered in lightweight components (typically under 35kg), which can be carried manually onto site. Assembly is performed by our experienced in-house teams using hand tools. Once erected, tanks are fitted with approved liners for water containment and DWI Regulation 31 compliance.

Pumping Solutions

Where gravity feed is insufficient to maintain network pressure, we supply Variable Speed Booster Units. These can be:

  • Built on-site or delivered as pre-assembled modules

  • Configured to match existing network demands

  • Integrated with real-time telemetry and remote control systems for efficient performance monitoring

Pipework and Connections

While pipework is generally supplied and fitted by the client, Portstoken can, where required, provide a complete pipework installation service through our trusted contractors. All designs are pre-agreed to meet the operational standards of the project.

Disinfection

All tank solutions include Clean-in-Place (CIP) capabilities to allow for traditional spray or wet disinfection methods.

In addition, Portstoken also offers Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour (HPV) Disinfection, a highly effective method that:

  • Requires no water to perform

  • Leaves no chemical residue

  • Can reduce overall commissioning time by several days

All steel tanks are fitted with sample points via flame-able taps and continuous copper piping routed from the tank interior away from the wall or floor to enable routine microbiological sampling.

Decommissioning and Site Reinstatement

At the end of the project:

  • All tank components are dismantled and removed from site

  • Ground ring-based foundations allow for full ecological reinstatement with no residual infrastructure

  • Reusable components support a sustainable and cost-effective rolling deployment model

Comprehensive Delivery

Portstoken delivers a complete, turnkey project solution including:

  • Site Surveys and Ground Condition Reports

  • Custom Design and Specification

  • Foundation and Installation Works

  • Pipework and Pumping Systems

  • Regulatory-Compliant Disinfection

  • Final Decommissioning and Site Reinstatement
